version 3.5

This section describes the commands available on the OLE pop-up menu.

Paste / Paste special...

These two commands let you paste the data currently stored in the Windows clipboard. The Paste command performs a simple copy of the data from the Windows clipboard to your OLE area and the Paste Special... command lets you choose the format of the data you want to copy.

Note: For more information about the Paste Special... OLE feature, please refer to your Windows documentation.

Delete...

This command deletes any reference from your OLE area to any object. In other words, your OLE area becomes empty.

Insert Object...

This command allows you to choose the type of object (new object or existing document as well as its OLE source application) you want to insert into your OLE area.

Objects...

This command is disabled if no object is inserted in your OLE area. After you have inserted an active object, it becomes active and provides a hierarchical menu that gives you access to the OLE commands available from the OLE source application.

If, for instance, you insert a .WAV file into an OLE area, the Objects command is replaced by a Wave Sound Object hierarchical menu that provides you with the commands Play, Edit, Open, and Convert:

Note: For more information about the OLE commands available from an OLE source application, please refer to the documentation for that application.
