RAND ([arithmetic_expression])

The RAND function returns a random Float value between 0 and 1. The optional arithmetic_expression can be used to pass a seed value.

This example inserts ID values generated by the RAND function:

   CREATE TABLE PEOPLE
   (ID INT32,   
   Name VARCHAR);
   
   INSERT INTO PEOPLE
   (ID, Name)
   VALUES(RAND, 'Francis');
