To create or open a server database, launch 4D Server.
1. Launch 4D Server by double-clicking on the 4D Server icon.
On Windows, double-click the 4DSERVER.EXE icon.
On Macintosh, double-click the 4D Server icon.
The Open database dialog box appears, giving you the choice of opening an existing database or creating a new one.

2. Select the database you want to open.
3. Click Open.
4D Server starts serving the database and displays the Process window:
