The commands in this chapter allow you to set preferences for contexts, cursors, or a connections.

Using the preference commands, you can specify the following:

Which keywords should be added to a SELECT statement generated by a context (OD SET OPTIONS),

When a transaction should be rolled back or committed (OD SET OPTIONS),

Whether or not error dialogs should be presented to the user (OD SET OPTIONS),

Which value should be used as the equivalent of an Oracle NULL value for each data type (OD SET NULL VALUE),

Whether or not Oracle tables used in the Edit a Context and Edit a SQL Expression dialog boxes should be kept in memory (OD LOAD STRUCTURE).

Which file will be used to get the Oracle server aliases (OD SET CONFIGURATION FILE).
