The commands in this chapter allow you to set preferences for contexts, cursors, or a connections.
Using the preference commands, you can specify the following:
• Which keywords should be added to a SELECT statement generated by a context (OD SET OPTIONS),
• When a transaction should be rolled back or committed (OD SET OPTIONS),
• Whether or not error dialogs should be presented to the user (OD SET OPTIONS),
• Which value should be used as the equivalent of an Oracle NULL value for each data type (OD SET NULL VALUE),
• Whether or not Oracle tables used in the Edit a Context and Edit a SQL Expression dialog boxes should be kept in memory (OD LOAD STRUCTURE).
• Which file will be used to get the Oracle server aliases (OD SET CONFIGURATION FILE).
